Toastmasters' Distinguished Club Program

The Distinguished Club Program (DCP) is a Toastmasters International program designed to measure the elements of "successful" clubs in a given year (July 1 - June 30th). Toastmasters bases their measure of success upon achievement of members through the educational programs, membership retention and growth. From July 1 through June 30 of the following year, TI tracks each club's progress. The Distinguished Club Program consists of 10 goals, listed below.

The goals for the year are:

  1. Achieve 2 CC (Competent Communicator) awards
  2. Achieve 2 more CCs
  3. Achieve 1 Advanced Communicator award (AC Bronze, AC Silver, or AC Gold)
  4. Achieve 1 more AC
  5. Achieve 1 CL, ALB, ALS, or DTM award
  6. Achieve 1 more CL, ALB, ALS, or DTM
  7. Add 4 new members
  8. Add 4 more new members
  9. Have at least 4 clubs officers trained twice per year
  10. Submit at least one membership report and at least one club officer list submitted on time

Each of these goals are one point on the Distinguished Club Program. Clubs must have at least 20 members OR a net growth of at least five new members at June 30 in addition to meeting the above goals to qualify for the program.

At the end of the Toastmaster year (June 30), if a club achieves 5-6 goals, they are considered a Distinguished Club. If they achieve 7-8 goals, they are a Select Distinguished Club. If they achieve 9 or 10 goals, they are a President's Distinguished Club.
