Tips for Running a GREAT Club
We are putting together a list of ideas to help you build your club. If you
would like to contribute a suggestion, please contact
Wendy Harding, Lt. Governor of Marketing.
Roger Davies - TM of Manchester 4227, Area 16 - suggests:
Develop a club newsletter. Publish member testimonials; testimonials of persons
with whom newly interested persons may talk; testimonials of past members. Advertise
the strengths gained through Toastmasters.
Judi Bouchard - Riverview Community Speakers Club 693873, Area 15 - suggests:
Our Toastmasters' chapter put up a tent, hung out banners, put out pamphlets,
and hung a board with pictures of our members receiving awards. There were two
of us in two hour shifts to man the tent and talk to people. We were there 12
hours in all and have one new member, and three very interested guest sign ups.
It doesn't sound like much, but for our small community I thought it was great.
